Time sure does fly! I still can't believe that my son will be in highschool next year!
Where has the time gone??? To most it may seem like such a small thing, but to me its not! I'm pretty sure most parents joke around about when their kids are 18 that they are out of the house! But as the time gets closer, I don't like that joke anymore!!! It seems like the days are just flying by lately! I can't believe we are half way through the year already! I have officially 1 more year of elementary school for my kids! And then its the "big time"! Middle school for Dalton wasn't too bad, but I think middle school for my little girl is not going to be a picnic! I think for the most part it is a bit more dramatic for girls than boys! So I'm going to enjoy the last year of elementary school with a smile on my face! Haha!
Our oldest daughter just turned 21, WOW!!! And our grandson just turned 4! He's turning into such a big boy! And in September we will have our princess, little Miss Emma Lynn! Life seems to be right where it should be as far as family! Other things may be trying for us right now, but FAMILY is the most important thing in life! Without family you have nothing!
My brother is getting married this month to the most amazing woman!!! She has really been a blessing to him and his girls! And I am soo happy he FINALLY asked her to marry him! I can't wait to go to the wedding because I don't usually get a chance to see my side of the family. I will finally get to see my dad again, which I haven't seen since 2006!
Anyways........
I've said it before and I'll say it again and again - Don't Sweat The Small Stuff! It will only bring you down!

Well it's Official... Our new grandbaby is going to be a GIRL!!!
We are soo excited! I just knew it would be. Her name will be Emma Lynn! I just love her already! And I just had to run right out and buy these little pink boots I have had my eye on for a few months now! I had also bought her her 1st piggy bank! I bought that about a month or 2 ago! haha!
Emma will be an amazing addition to our family! We needed a new little princess around! I absolutely LOVE looking at ultrasound pictures and fell in love with this pic of Emma! It is soo adorable!
I guess that's all for now!

One of my many poems
I'm sharing a one of the many poems I have written. If you read it and like it let me know! I LOVE to write poetry, but not sure if they are any good!
I wrote this particular one back in 2004. Hope you like it!
Insightful!
If today was the first day of the rest of your
life;
Would you change all the bad things or just take it all
in strife?
If today was the last day you could spend on this
earth;
Would you want to witness a miracle, like child
birth?
How much bad luck does it take, before the good starts
rolling in;
What does someone have to do to feel beautiful in their
own skin?
If you saw someone abusing a child, would you help
or just run away;
If your spouse was beating on you, would you leave
or vow to stay?
Everday should be taken one at a time;
Always do your best and never fall back on committing
a crime!

Busy Times
I also can't believe that the school year is pretty much over! My boy is going to be graduating the 8th grade this year! :( Where has the time gone?!? I know they can't stay young forever but I'm just not sure if I'm ready for highschool yet! Haha!
Courtney is definitely acting more like a teenager everyday! (even though she is only 10!)
She is always doing something! She loves music and volleyball! Unfortunately she won't get to play volleyball this spring because there weren't enough sign ups to play! :(
She worked at the local pizza place last night for student council to help raise money for her school! She really enjoyed it even if her only table was her parents and aunt! haha!

Wow looking at this picture just made me realize how much they actually are growing up!
Well that's enough for now. I have to get some of my stuff done because its baseball night!

Good Weekend!!!
I had a pretty good weekend! I actually had the wekkend off from my jobs! Didn't do a whole lot, but I enjoyed myself!
Saturday was somewhat of a busy day! Dalton had to go make pizzas for his baseball fundraiser. He ended up selling 56 that he turned in for himself. So he ended up getting 2nd in sells! Good Job dalton!!! The picture doesn't even show all the pizzas we had to deliver!
Saturday night Jeff took Courtney to a father/daughter dance! They both looked awesome! My little girl is growing up soo fast on me! I can't believe how much she has actually grown up in the last few years!!!! They both said they had an amazing time! I'm glad they were able to spend that time together! While they were at the dance, Dalton and I watched a movie together! I enjoy one on one time with the kids to just catch up with them! :)
We finished up our weekend by going to church sunday morning! It was an excellent service! I really enjoy going, the pastor is soo funny! And I really like that we go as a family!
Now its time to get in gear for baseball and volleyball! I'm soo excited! There's nothing I love more than watching the kids do what they love doing and are good at!!!
That's all for now! I think I'm going to dig up a few of my poems to share in the next day or too! I need to get back into writing! It makes me feel good when I write a good poem!!!

Just Some Ramblings!
Yesterday was my husband and I's 13th wedding anniversary! I can honestly say I found my soul mate! We are so ying and yang that we are definitely meant for each other! haha! In September we will be together for 18 years total. I can honestly say that these past 18 years have been the best! (Well give or take a year or 2! Haha!)
I never knew how much being a wife and mother would make my heart grow! But now I know! My kids are really awesome! Every time I look at one of them I feel soo much pride that they are mine and I get to share them with the world! Some days I wish they would just stop growing up on me, but other days I enjoy seeing how they are turning into mature, responsible young adults!
My grandson,Jacob, is the most amazing little guy. He is soo smart and handsome! I know, I know everyone says that about their grandchildren, but I'm really serious about it! ;)
He will be 4 this year and I still can't believe it. Where did the time go??? I can still remember sitting at the hospital waiting for him to be born! Even though we don't see each other as often as we would like, when we are together its like we were never apart! And later this year he will be getting a baby brother or sister!!! None of us can wait! I'm not so secretly wishing for a baby girl, but either way as long as he/she is healthy I'm fine with that! I'll be sure to let the world know what it will be as soon as I know!!! lol!
My husband is one of a kind and that's ok with me! He makes me laugh all the time which is good because I LOVE to laugh! He takes care of us and is not afraid of helping out around the house which is awesome! We usually know what each other is thinking and that's scary sometimes!
All in all I think I have a pretty fabulous life! Even though we may not have have everything that "the Jones" have, we have each other and in my book that's enough for me!
And now I'll quit rambling!

Life is a work in progress!
Sometimes in life you just have to sit back, take a long look at your life, and say, "Thank You God for all that you have given me!"
So many times people get caught up in what they want or think they need in life, that the really important things get unnoticed!
I have learned through all that my family has been through these past few months that you really need to be grateful for what you have! Not what you don't have! There is a reason why you don't have everything you want! If you are meant to have some things or meant to be able to do some things then it will happen when the time is right!
Material things are just that material! You can't take those things with you when you go! I cherish my children & grandchildren, my husband, my parents, my siblings, my nieces & nephews, the rest of my family, and all my dear friends! Once they are in your heart they are there forever!
It has taken me a long time to realize that it doesn't matter what you have or don't have, if people are going to like you, then they should like you for who you REALLY are not what they perceive you to be!

My Life in a Nutshell
Life is what you make it! That's what i have learned over the years! And how true that is!
I'm a 36yr old wife, mother, & Nana! I have been with my wonderful husband, Jeff, for almost 18yrs and we have been married for 13yrs this month. We have 3 wonderful and amazing children! Our oldest, Cassy, is married with a 3yr old and 1 on the way! We are all hoping for a girl this time, but either way the baby will be a wonderful addition to our family! Cassy is such a beautiful, caring daughter/mother! Our middle child is the only boy, Dalton. He is such an awesome person! I LOVE to watch him in his sports. He makes me soo proud! He's growing up a little too fast for me though! I can't believe he will be graduating 8th grade this year! :( Our youngest, Courtney, is such a sweetie! She's the baby and I think she knows how to work that card! haha! She is a pretty good volleyball player and it has been amazing to watch how far she has come in the sport over the last few years! My kids mean everything to me! I could go on and on, but I won't for now!
My life gets kinda crazy from time to time when the kids' sports are in full swing! And this year is going to be a little more challenging because i am working 2 part-time jobs! Both of which are rewarding in their own ways!
Alot of my posts will probably be about my kids. After all that is what my life revolves around and I wouldn't change that for anything. But from time to time I will try to spread my wings and express myself on other topics as well!
My kids, husband, jobs, and even the dogs come before me! I'm trying to move myself farther up on the ladder! But sometimes its hard to do that. I feel guilty when I take time away from them for me.
In a perfect world everything would run smoothly and everything would be peachy, but it's not a perfect world and I'm thankful for that! Life's hardships is how we become who we are! It also makes the good times that much sweeter!
